As an auditor, you’ll need to adapt to emerging technologies and understand how to use them efficiently and effectively. And of course, being a master of spreadsheets doesn’t hurt. This year, resolve to learn a new tech skill — whether it’s mastering Excel or Google Sheets or learning more about emerging technologies like data analytics.

2. Get Organized

Make 2018 the year you get organized! Whether you take up bullet journaling or finally clean up your email inbox, take this opportunity to focus on getting yourself organized and keep it up for the rest of the year. Auditors have to juggle a lot of details so organizational skills are critical to successfully managing a project.

3. Focus on Communication

While business and auditing involve a lot of technical skills, strong communication makes an auditor go from good to great. Many auditors work in teams and communication skills are crucial.
